Art is a journey. As an artist the journey is often complex, filled with times of doubt, insecurities, euphoria or accomplishment. Beauty in art comes from the unpredictability of an outcome, such as natural dyeing or the impulsive urge to just paint. These works have developed over time. A time of experimentation trial and error, an exploration of colour, medium, surface and impact. Working through different ideas and bringing each piece to fruition, has been an exercise with purpose and resolution.
